Privacy Policy

K-Brief (“the blog”) respects your privacy and follows Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act and related laws. This policy explains what information we handle and why. The Korean version applies with equal effect.

1. Information we handle

  • When you use the contact form: your name, email address, subject and message.
  • Collected automatically when you visit: access logs, browser type and pages viewed, used for statistics (including cookies).

The blog has no member accounts and does not collect identification numbers or sensitive personal information.

2. Why we use it

  • To read and reply to your messages and correct articles
  • To understand visitor statistics and improve content

3. Retention and deletion

Contact messages are deleted within one year after we reply, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Electronic files are deleted in a way that cannot be recovered.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except where required by law.

5. Hosting and international transfer

The blog runs on WordPress.com, operated by Automattic Inc. (United States). Contact form submissions and visitor statistics are stored and processed on Automattic’s servers (in the United States and elsewhere) to operate the site. The transfer happens when you submit the form or visit the site, and retention follows section 3. If you do not want your information transferred abroad, you may choose not to use the contact form.

6. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies for visitor statistics. If we start using third-party advertising such as Google AdSense, advertisers may use cookies to show ads based on your interests. We will update this policy before ads are shown.

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off personalized ads in your Google ad settings.

7. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your personal information at any time. Send your request through the contact page and we will handle it without delay.
